We are excited to announce that 001 Photography Studio has officially been approved as a Utah Fits All vendor!
001 Photography Studio was created to offer students a more immersive and professionally grounded approach to photography education through hybrid and online learning environments focused on visual storytelling, editing, portfolio development, and foundational creative business education.
Our programs are designed for students ages 11–17 and combine technical photography instruction with real-world creative workflow practices drawn directly from professional photography environments.
Students learn:
- Camera fundamentals and composition
- Natural light photography
- Editing and post-processing
- Visual storytelling
- Portfolio development
- Creative critique and discussion
- Foundational freelance photography business practices
What makes the program unique is its studio-based structure. Students are introduced not only to the artistic side of photography, but also to how photography functions as a professional creative discipline. Alongside photography instruction, students are exposed to foundational concepts related to freelance work, creative services, client interaction, portfolio building, and professional workflow practices.
Programs are offered in two formats:
Hybrid Program
An 8-week program alternating between in-person photography field sessions throughout Salt Lake Valley and live online critique and editing workshops.
Online Lab
A 6-week live online photography and creative business studio focused on editing, visual storytelling, critique, and portfolio development.
Students may participate using DSLR, mirrorless, point-and-shoot, or smartphone cameras.
001 Photography Studio is led by Michael Todoran, who holds a BA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography and a Master’s degree in Architecture. Michael has over 10 years of experience working as a freelance photographer across editorial, documentary, architectural, and commercial photography and is a former university lecturer, FAA-certified drone pilot, veteran, and co-founder of HAPS Agency.
